The Role
- iCobus are looking for Qualified, 2-man Structured Cabling Teams based in South London, to work across sites in Greater London and the surrounding counties, as part of a Nation-Wide WIFI Installation Roll-Out Project. Occasional working away from home for up to a week may be required.
The Scope
- The scope is to install APs, complete Cabinet Swap-Outs and Installations, and run CAT6 Copper Links or 12-Core OM4 Fibre Links between the existing or new cabinets on site.
Qualification Requirements:
- CSCS/ECS Card
- 1st Aid Certificate

- 2 Point PPE (Boots & Hi-Vis Vest)
- Own Van
- 4-6 Tread Ladders
- SDS Drills, Combi & Impact Drills
- Own Fibre Splicer (Fujikura / Sumitomo)
- Cable Analyser or Tester (A Fluke is advantageous)
- Mod-Tap Tester & Toner
- Hand Tools for Containment & Cabling (Hacksaw, Lasers, ect.)
- Copper & Fibre Terminating Tools
- Hoover for cleaning work area
- Smart-Phone or Tablet (iPhone, Android or iPad)
- Laptop (Must have an Ethernet Port – or use external adapter)
- Barcode Scanner
Duties and Responsibilities
- On-site installation, testing and termination of CAT6 Data Cabling & Fibre Optic Cabling
- On-site installation, of Containment, which may include Tray Work, Basket, Conduit and PVC trunking.
- Installation and swap-out of Server Cabinets, Network Equipment, Wireless Access Points
- Taking Images and Documenting Your Work – Uploading to Our Online Platform using your Smart-Phone
- Scan AP Information into Excel inventory Sheet
Further Skills & Experience:
- Customer Facing with Good Communication Skills
- Ability to read architectural drawings
- Excellent understanding of health and safety practice
- Experienced in the setting up, use and understanding of the results from a Fluke DSX8000/5000 or similar test equipment.
- Experience with the safe and correct use of ladders and other access equipment
- Experience with the correct and safe use of power tools
- English Language (written and verbal) to a GCSE level or equivalent as you should be able to demonstrate good communication skills, written, over the phone and face to face.
- No criminal record

Job Title: Project Manager
Location: London
Our Client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structured Cabling Project Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building strong relationships both directly and through the Operations Manager and contract teams.
The main purpose of this role would be to support the Operations Manager and Client Relationship Manager with supervising key engineering company contracts and delivering excellent operational performance and customer services in line with client expectations.
Main Tasks:
- Deliver a high-quality service on time and within contract budget.
- Provide first line management and leadership to contracted teams, set team objectives, ensure the quality of engineers work and verify that it has been undertaken in-line with agreed timescales.
- Develop project schedules and budget reporting.
- Manage procurement, deliveries and external engineering resource.
- Recording and monitoring costs against budget, through regular liaising with Operations Manager and finance team.
- Attending weekly project update meetings at Head Office (Kent) consisting of the monitoring of project timescales/deadlines, materials, resource, budgets and variations.
- Participate with the weekly finance meeting to assist with the timely accounting functions (invoicing and applications).
- Compliance, Health & Safety, company policies, standards and initiatives
- Comply with contracts to ensure that the business is compliant with all legislation, health & safety matters, policy and good practice (Risk and method statements)
- Weekly liaising with Compliance Team, to ensure that all relevant completed paperwork is provided from engineers, and a good level of H&S practice is adhered to onsite.
- Ensure all correct handover documentation is provided by the pre-sales team ahead of project start.
- Provide ‘in-project’ documentation, to include record keeping of client variations and project risks. Preparation and collation of project handover documentation, to ensure all customer expectations are upheld.
- Supervise installation and integrations teams – utilising benchmarking and sign off to ensure consistent quality of works.
- Develop and maintain good levels of communication between operations team and client. To have a good understanding of who personnel are in the various accounts and follow structured reporting.

About the Role
Looking for someone to lead a team to deliver a range of structured cabling installations. You will be responsible for successfully planning site-based project activities on large-scale projects, delivering them to the time, cost, quality and customer satisfaction objectives defined by the Project Management team.
The ideal candidate will be located within the East/West Sussex area within commuting distance of their offices. The role is predominantly working away from home to fulfil the nationwide commitments. Please only apply if you can accommodate this commitment.
Job Responsibilities
- Site surveys and pre-installation meetings.
- Planning cable runs and overcoming building/logistics complications.
- Provide leadership for the project delivery team and maximise the potential of the team and the individuals within.
- Installation of structured cabling (CAT 6/6A/7) systems.
- Installation of secondary containment (basket, trunking, conduit, copex) where required.
- Installation of floor-mounted communication cabinets and server racks with attention to detail towards cable management and dressing in.
- Terminate, test and labelling cables within patch panels and data outlets.
- Competent in tracing and fault-finding data cables.
- Updating of internal documentation and drawings.
- Liaising with other on-site trades to ensure smooth delivery of the project.
- Liaising with the Office team and Project Management team.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years experience in the structured cabling industry. (desirable)
- Demonstrable experience in the installation of structured cabling (CAT 5e/6/6A/7) systems.
- Experience working on construction sites is desirable.
- Fully conversant with the setup and operation of Fluke and LanTek analysers.
- The ability to work from construction drawings.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, verbal and written with the ability to provide clear and concise documentation, written updates and reports.
- Time management and quality focused to successfully complete tasks safely and to the highest standards.
- Customer-focused individual with a proactive and flexible approach to working.
- Good organisation skills and high attention to detail.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- To work safely and follow Health & Safety requirements/regulations at all times.

- Design, configure, and support CCTV systems, including enterprise VMS systems such as Milestone and cloud-based environments.
- Install and maintain access control systems, ensuring seamless integration with existing security infrastructure.
- Work with leading access control technologies, including CEM, Feenics, Lenel, Paxton, C-Cure, and more.
- Conduct regular system audits to ensure optimal functioning and compliance with safety standards.
- Provide technical support to Project Management Teams as well as training to users and junior engineers.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Experience in intruder detection systems is desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Desirable Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- AWS & MS Azure knowledge is beneficial but not essential.
- Certifications related to security systems, network engineering, or system design.
